A Swift Cup Europe vasárnapi első versenyén fordított sorrendben rajtolt el a mezőny. A pole
is őrizte.
feljött a második helyre. Hartmann hamar megtalálta a megfelelő tempót, és üldözőbe vette
az élen haladó Németh Esztert. Kettejük csatája során a verseny felénél a bajnokesélyes
A két csapattárs
kettős győzelmet ünnepelhetett, Ficza a második helyen ért célba. Németh Eszter a pole-ból
indulva végül a harmadik helyen végzett, azonban ez a dobogó egy győzelemmel is felért
hazai pályán.
A bajnoki cím sorsa továbbra is nyitott maradt, ezért a szezon utolsó futama különösen
Kicsit nehezen tudtam átjönni a mezőnyön,
a többiek. A nemzetközi értékelés harmadik helyére sikerült feljönnöm, azonban nagyon
nehéz versenyen vagyunk túl. Akárhányszor kiértünk az egyenesbe, a szélárnyékban én
voltam a negyedik, mégis távolodtak tőlem a többiek. Ez volt a maximum, amit ki tudtam
hozni a versenyből. Izgalmas futam volt, nagyon jó csatákkal. Szuper mezőnyben
versenyezhettünk, és ma nekünk ez a legfontosabb.”
ENG:
Hartmann Balázs Wins Reverse-Grid Race as Championship Battle Remains Wide
Open
The Swift Cup Europe field lined up in reverse order for the first race on Sunday. Németh
Eszter started from pole position, but a sluggish start cost her the lead by the first corner.
She managed to reclaim it shortly afterwards and held on to the position until halfway
through the race.
Starting from sixth on the grid, Balázs Hartmann had already moved up to second place by
the second or third corner. He quickly found the right pace and began chasing down race
leader Eszter Németh. At the halfway point, championship contender Hartmann won their
battle, taking the lead with a clean, fair overtake and without any contact. He then managed
to maintain his advantage all the way to the finish to secure the race victory.
His teammate, Ferenc Ficza, also delivered a strong performance, although he found it
slightly more difficult to fight his way through the field. The two teammates therefore
celebrated a one-two finish, with Ficza crossing the line in second place. Németh Eszter, who
had started from pole position, ultimately finished third, but securing a podium at her home
circuit was still a result that felt like a victory.
The championship title remains up for grabs, making the final race of the season particularly
important.
Balázs Hartmann #505: “We’ve just had a really good race. I started from sixth place, but by
the second or third corner, I was already up to second. I found the right pace early on to
catch up with Eszter Németh, and I managed to do so. I overtook her cleanly in a fair battle,
without any contact. From that point on, I just had to bring the race home, and we managed
to secure a one-two finish, with my teammate taking second place. The championship title
will be decided in the final race. We’ll need a huge amount of luck to win it, but the battle is
still wide open.”
Ferenc Ficza #596: “It was a really good race. I struggled a little to make my way through
the field, while Balu (Balázs Hartmann) had more of a priority to get through the pack quickly.
We were both able to put in some really good laps, so overall, it went very well.”
Eszter Németh #547: “As usual, my start was a little sluggish, and I lost the lead, but
fortunately, I managed to take it back in the first corner. I was able to hold on to the position
until about halfway through the race. I could see that two riders were faster than me, and I
didn’t want to fight them because I didn’t want to jeopardise my podium finish. I’m really
pleased to have made it onto the podium at this circuit.”
András Bilkó #543: “The start was really good, but I feel we’re not quite on the same level
as the others in terms of engine power. I managed to move up to third place in the
international classification, but it was a very tough race. Every time we came onto the
straight, I was fourth in the slipstream, yet the riders ahead kept pulling away. This was the
maximum I could get out of the race. It was exciting, with some really good battles
throughout. We raced in a fantastic field, and that’s the most important thing for us today.”
